THIRD SECTOR
Mergers
We can offer your organisation the opportunity to
thoroughly explore the concept of merger. Mergers are
not just about what happens tomorrow, they are about a much
longer term vision that two organisations can have about
delivering world class services for their users, within a more
effective and efficient organisation. They are also
about eliminating some of the confusion that arises in both
the general public and the user, when there are a number of
similar charities claiming to be providing the same services.
Organisational Visioning
You may not wish to consider merger for your Third Sector organisation
but may welcome the opportunity to really explore its future,
and the visions of its stakeholders, to arrive at a consensus
vision for its future. We can help facilitate this
process through structured interviews with all those involved,
as well as focus group work and any technical, logistical
exercises that need to be undertaken.
Employer/Employee Relations
Historically, some organisations in the Third Sector have
been afraid of union recognition. Don set up one of the
first effective union/staff consultation forums between the
former MSF and Unison, and the charity of which he was CEO.
He believes that this became a creative process adding value
to the organisation as a whole, and to its personnel
management particularly. Don is able to offer
consultation to organisations wishing to develop this area of
their personnel and management function.
