Career progression and earning capacity

We consider realistic progression routes, promotion, professional development, recruitment and selection requirements, employer expectations and the earnings associated with different careers and career stages. Our experience of recruitment, selection, career development and organisational practice can help inform these opinions.

We consider the medical and other relevant evidence alongside the demands of the person’s work to provide an opinion on realistic return-to-work prospects, reasonable adjustments, vocational rehabilitation and job retention.

Our opinion may also address graded return to work, changes to hours or duties, retraining and alternative employment where relevant. Where practical vocational rehabilitation support is commissioned, this is provided separately from the independent expert evidence.
