Doherty Stobbs provides independent expert evidence on employment prospects, employability, earning capacity and loss of earnings. Our expert witnesses are Occupational Psychologists by professional background, giving them additional expertise in understanding individuals, work, employers, career development and vocational issues.
We consider the individual’s education, employment history, skills and circumstances alongside the practical demands of work, employer expectations, vocational rehabilitation and the labour market. This enables us to provide expert employment opinions grounded in the realities of work. We review the evidence carefully and critically and explain where it supports a clear conclusion and where uncertainty remains.
Where injury, illness, disability or neurodivergence is relevant, we draw on the appropriate medical and other professional evidence and consider what the identified effects mean for employment. We do not provide medical or clinical opinions.

Our employment evidence may be required in personal injury, clinical negligence, employment disputes and other proceedings where employment prospects, earning capacity or loss of earnings are in issue. In expert-witness instructions, our role is that of an employment expert. Our background as Occupational Psychologists provides additional professional expertise which we apply to the employment questions in the case. We do not provide medical or clinical opinions.
