Employment implications of neurodivergence

Where dyslexia, ADHD, autism or other forms of neurodivergence are identified in the appropriate existing evidence, we consider their implications for employment, training, recruitment, workplace adjustments and career progression. We do not undertake ADHD or autism assessments.

Dyslexia, ADHD and autism can affect people very differently and may be associated with significant strengths as well as difficulties. Their employment impact depends on the individual and on the demands of the particular job, training route or career.

We may undertake dyslexia assessment where relevant and where specifically instructed to do so, but we do not undertake ADHD or autism assessments.

We consider how neurodivergence may affect employment, training, recruitment, work performance and career progression, together with reasonable adjustments and retraining where relevant.
